KIERAN TIERNEY’S has taken to social media to reveal he had a successful op after dislocating his shoulder against West Ham.
Arsenal’s summer signing lasted just under 30 minutes after he fell awkwardly and left the pitch with his arm in a makeshift sling.
Tierney, who has struggled for fitness this season with a hamstring issue, went down under no contact following a Hammers attack.
The Scotland international, who faces three months out, was making his first start under Freddie Ljungberg having struggled with a secret shoulder injury.
And after going under the knife, the ex-Celtic left-back posted an update from his hospital bed on his Instagram story to his followers.
He wrote: “Op done ✅
“Soup terrible ✅
“Thank you as always for the lovely messages. Helping me a lot ❤️️.”
Tierney has a history of a troublesome shoulder that stemmed during his time at Celtic.
He was forced to have surgery on the same shoulder in 2017 after being forced to play through the pain barrier.
Arsenal are languishing in tenth spot in the English Premier League after picking up just 22 points from 17 games.
The Gunners are into the Europa League last 32 and will face Greek outfit Olympiacos but face a battle to qualify for the Champions League next season.
They currently trail fourth-placed Chelsea by seven points – the same tally between them and the relegation zone.
Meanwhile, Tierney’s ex-Hoops team-mate Nir Bitton has penned a new three-and-a-half-year deal at Parkhead.
The Israeli international, who signed for the club just over six years ago, has committed his future to the Scottish champions until the summer of 2023.
