Unionized workers who do finishing on 6500 and 7500 series Bombardier aircraft ratified a deal in principle reached last week between the company and union.
Unifor announced the 75 per cent ratification vote Sunday at a meeting at the Palais des congrès in Montreal.
The three-year deal was reached overnight Monday to Tuesday, three days before the collective agreement expired. It affects 2,400 workers, members of Local 62.
Unifor said the new deal offers salary increases of 2.5 per cent each year, an increase in pension benefits and better job security by taking back subcontracted work before any layoffs.
